Chang Gung Hospital in Yunlin has been operating for over 13 years, and we are grateful for the support of all our colleagues and the Chang Gung Medical Foundation, which helped the hospital gradually stand firm. Impressive contributions have been made in various fields of acute and chronic medical care, long-term care, community health promotion, first line care of chemical disasters, liver disease prevention and care, as well as the nationwide COVID-19 epidemic control efforts in the past three years. Despite being located in a remote area with limited scale, our hospital has performed even better than many larger hospitals, in terms of medical services and quality, and has won numerous awards. As local people gradually recognize our efforts, even the national authorities have acknowledged Yunlin Chang Gung Hospital.

According to statistics from the Ministry of the Interior, the population aged 65 and over in Yunlin County currently accounts for 20.1% of the total population. The aging population structure has become a priority issue for our hospital to improve the plan of health promotion for neighboring communities in the future. Therefore, in addition to continuously building a complete medical service to meet regional medical needs, our hospital has also obtained the certification of an age-friendly hospital and collaborated with Formosa Plastics Group and Chang Gung University of Science and Technology to promote community health, especially for the elderly. We hope to build a small and splendid community health promotion hospital through the joint efforts of all our colleagues, and further raised the medical care standards of our hospital.
