1¡BBrief History
¡@¡@The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Medical Library was founded in 1974. Our collection is devoted primarily to the support of the clinical medicine, medical education, and medical research activities of the Medical Center.

2¡BCollection Resources
¡@¡@ The Library houses about 80,000 volumes, subscribes to nearly 1000 medical journals in print and 2,200 e-journals.


3¡BLibrary Location
¡@¡@The library is located in the 1st floor of Education Building(Dorm,) in the Lin-Kou Medical Center. The library covers 1,352 square meters and includes:

(1).Circulation¡G

(2).Interlibrary Loan
¡@¡@Interlibrary Loan is a service for users to obtain material not available in the Medical Library and accepts applications to photocopy books and journal articles from other domestic and overseas libraries. The service is only for employees of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The applicant should fill out an application form at the website(http://ndds.stpi.org.tw).

(3)Photocopy Service
¡@¡@8 photocopy machines are located in the library, they are operated via a copycard system. Copycards can be purchased at the photocopy room or circulation desk. Each card costs NT$100, and it can copy 100 times.

(4) Reference Consultant Service
¡@¡@Reference librarians are available to answer readers¡¦ questions and provide reference, bibliographic and consultative services to help readers get access to the library¡¦s resources and other computer-based information.

(5)Internet
¡@¡@The library provides computer equipment for readers to connect to the Internet only to search for academic information. Entertainment, BBS, E-mail and personal document editing are not permitted.

(6)Ethernet connections for laptop computers
¡@¡@The library provides ethernet connections for laptop computers.These allow access to the Internet. You will need ethernet PC card and RJ-45 crossover cable.

(7) Scanner
¡@¡@The library provides OCR systems in Chinese and English formats, and a scanner for readers to scan documents, pictures and slides.

(8) Photography Copy Stand
¡@¡@The copy stand is available in multimedia room.Readers must provide their own camera.

¡@¡@All of our Electronic resources are merged in ERMG systm (E-Resources Management Gateway), and you need an ID, please type: visitor (only in the intranet)

¡@ Cinahl, Micromedex, JCR, SDOL, MD Consult, ProQuest Medical Library, UpToDate...etc.
