The Department of Surgery is comprised of ten divisions: Experimental Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Proctology, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Traumatic and Emergency Surgery, and Urology, and Surgery at Taipei CGMH.
Currently the Department of Surgery has 153 full time faculty participating in clinical practices, teaching and research, and 148 residents. The Department of Surgery has 1000 beds and 64 operating rooms, and provides a complete range of surgical services and surgical specialties. Many distinguished surgeons have developed their ideas and have performed many outstanding research programs at CGMH.
