My wife has severe keratoconus in one eye. Her vision is very poor in the affected eye. She is currently a candidate for corneal transplantation. However, she is not interested in this treatment modality. In this case, is there a role for Amniotic membrane transplantation with or without limbal transplantation? Doctors at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei and the medical school at the University of California at Davis have successfully transplanted lab-grown cornea cells from the healthy eye to the diseased eye to replenish the cornea’s surface. Is this a possibility in her case? If she can be helped by any of these procedures excluding corneal transplantation from a donor please let me know. Thank you.

Muhammad Jamail Sultan was born on August 20, 2003 with Biliary Atresia a rare Liver disease wherein his liver doesn¡¦t have hepatic duct. As a result his liver slowly failed and now into cirrhosis and he will soon die unless he gets liver transplant.
MJ is strong and happy baby, he has an easily smile for everyone and you can t say that he¡¦s sick unless you¡¦ll see his yellow eyes, His doctor says he needs to be transplant while he¡¦s still in very good condition. Let us give him a fighting chance. We are knocking at your heart so please help in any way you can including your prayers.
Unfortunately Liver transplant is not yet available here in the Philippines it can be done in Taiwan at a cost of P3million. An amount is beyond the means of Rosario and Jamail Sultan who has emabarked on a campaign to raise funds for their baby¡¦s transplant. They already raised 150,000 pesos but still in need and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes have allotted One Million pesos if the Sultan family will put up two million pesos.
